Visit to MeMaws!

Little Blakely got to visit her sweet MeMaw today! She was wearing her adorable onsie that says "My MeMaw Loves Me".  She looked so cute! We are so blessed to have such wonderful Grandparents & Great Grandparents for our little one! Even though she slept basically the entire time we were over there, MeMaw had a good time holding her great-grandchild.

We are getting very very close to sleeping through the night! she went 6 & 1/2 hours last night! =) She is going to visit her Kaki tomorrow night so Clint & I can have a MUCH needed date night & get caught up on some much needed sleep! 

On another note, a VERY important note...are you ready?!? DADDY GOT A JOB BLAKELY! Not just any job, a really great job with huge potential! Hallelujah!!! God is so good & faithful! Anyone who doubts should really look at our lives over the past 10 months- Talk to me, I will make you a believer-it's a promise! =)

Happy Birthday Sadie-Sunday Snapshots

Today we celebrated Sadie's (the Boxer) 4 year old birthday party! This was Blakely's first real outing! Well, I guess we have technically taken her to the Dr. & then I took her by work on Friday-BUT she never got out of her car seat when I went by work.  She loved the sunshine.  She just looked around the whole time.  There was a little 9 month old boy there & it made me realize just how fast they grow up! Blakely--don't get any bigger okay?!? Anywho, we got some really good shots of Zizi playing with some of her best friends.

I have officially opened my other etsy store now! I have no clue what I am going to do once I go back to work in a week! =( I guess I will figure it out though!

Blakely is one month old today! How adorable are these "watch me grow" onsies?!? These are the ones that I blogged about a couple of months ago that my friend Stephanie made for Blakely. I have one for every month for a year so we can see how much she will change during that first year!

I cannot believe an entire month has gone by. She is getting so strong & BIG! I know everyone else looks at her and sees a teeny tiny baby but I see how much bigger she has gotten in just these few short weeks! She is awake much more every day in between feedings.

9 Pounds, 3 Ounces--50%

21.5 Inches in Length--75%

She is drinking around 4 ounces Formula every 3 hours

Currently sleeping about 5 hours at night between feedings =)

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Today is Clint's first father's day! Well not really, I guess Zizi wished him a Happy Father's Day last year! We had a very busy day. First, after a very sleepless night, we went over to Mimi & Gran's house then we went over to Kaki & Wolfie's House. This is really our first outing with the little one! We did have fun though!

Workin' Hard

I am actually proud to say that this week has been a productive one! I am starting yet another little etsy shop. If you aren't familiar with etsy you really need to check it out! People are SO talented on there & you can find some really original and adorable stuff for affordable prices! Anyway, my new shop is called The Whimsy Whale -you can type in etsy.com/shop/thewhimsywhale to find me! =) What will I be selling you ask? Well, a great assortment of personalized gifts. Anywhere from sand pails to wine glasses-my goal is to have a little something for everyone! I have so many cute ideas so please check it out! Hopefully it will be up and running by the end of next week! Also, if you have any cute ideas, let me know! I love hearing feedback!!!

On a different note Blakely did so wonderful at her photoshoot-she slept like a little angel! I cannot wait to get our pictures! YAY! She has started sleeping better through the night. Last night I fed her at 11, 3:30, and then not till' 7!!! SO I only had to get up one time! Hopefully this will be a reoccuring event!

We visited Great Grandmommy yesterday. She is staying with Mom this summer so we are blessed for her to get to see and hold Blakely and get a picture showing 4 generations!

As for the first picture with Elizabeth Gray-she is so cute around her cousin. She is really curious around her. She kept petting her new friend! Allison said she was petting her just like she does Lucy (Alli's pup). It was really sweet because she was trying to be gentle & you could tell! I cannot wait for the two of them play together!

Tomorrow morning is the photo shoot...Third times a charm right?!? HOPEFULLY! Please, please little girl-cooperate! Also, I am really excited about the photo shoot because sweet Mary Clayton said she would take some pictures of my dog collars for my etsy shop! My pictures online are really rough so I cannot wait to see how hers will turn out! Okay, well we are all super tired so I will have to continue at a later time!

Friday Fun Day!

Well the photo shoot for our newborn pics did not go great...We are having to reschedule AGAIN for next Tuesday. We are having Mary Clayton come to our house to try and capture the little bug sleeping! Little Blakely just loves to stay awake when she should be sleeping! What a mess!

Mimi & Great Memaw came over this morning & showered us with gifts!!! Lots of adorable clothes, a blanket, bibs, money & some much needed formula! We are so blessed to have so much love in our family! I should have gotten some more pictures with her grandmother & great grandmother today! =( I'll have to remember that next time!

Photo Shoot!

We are about to leave to get little Blakely's newborn pictures taken!!! Hopefully she will cooperate! We actually tried to get these pictures taken on Monday & the little squirmy worm would not quit crying!!! Soooo, this time we are taking her bottle with us & going to try a different approach. Of course she is sleeping beautifully at the moment! We will have to just wait & see how everything goes!

We took her on a couple of walks so far-which she LOVES! I guess it is the vibrating of the stroller! I on the other hand am NOT loving the walks. The hill right outside of our house has gotten Tons harder since I walked it last (which was a while ago!). I am ready to get back into the swing of exercising though!

Sunday Snapshots!!!

I can't believe little Blakely is almost

2 weeks old! Here are a couple of pictures that were taken of her this morning! She is SO content after she eats! It doesn't take much to mold her into whatever position we want. =)

I know I haven't written much these past few weeks, but life has been really crazy-to say the least! I really should have gone to some baby 101 class! We just now gave Blakely her first sponge bath last night-yes at 2 weeks! I just remembered the hospital saying to wait until her umbilcal cord fell off to bathe her. Well when I was reading through all the discharge information (that I should have read in the hospital) it clearly states that you should bathe your little one-whoops! We went to her Dr. on Wednesday & she said that everything is looking perfect. She is almost back up to her birth weight!

Zizi LOVES her sister! I mean-L.O.V.E.S! She runs into her room (or wherever she is) as soon as she so much as to hears a whimper. She will run & get me if Blakely starts to cry! She sleeps under her crib-until we go to bed & then she just takes over our entire bed like always! When we are feeding her, Zi will jump on the couch & lie her head on my lap right next to Blakely. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy!

I have so much more to say, but I have to make some bottles & do lots of other stuff so, it'll have to wait! Till' next time!
