The Nursery!

Finally…some pictures of sweet Blakely’s nursery! All we are lacking is our bed skirt that Mom is in the process of making! It will mimic the curtain—only a smaller amount of striped pink fabric on the bottom. We are so excited & SO ready! I go in to see Dr. Sharp today, so I am very eager to see what all he has to say!  Hopefully it will be all wonderful news & we will meet our sweet baby sometime in the near future! =)

She's a Comin'

Well, as of my Dr. apt on Monday—Little Blakely is expected to arrive sometime next week!!! He is thinking that I will be induced on Tuesday.  Please pray that this will not be a 24+ hour labor followed by a C-Section! We are so excited and SO ready! Mom’s last day of school is Tuesday, so I will probably go in that night if everything looks right next Monday at my next appointment! I cannot believe how fast these past 9 months have gone! If there is anything that I have learned from this whole experience it is that life comes at you fast—the only way through it is to pray and walk by faith, ONE day at a time!

Zizi is getting really curious! This morning while I was doing my devotion in the nursery, she kept jumping in attempt to see inside the crib! When I held her up just enough to see the inside she looked back at me all confused.  She might have smelled Elizabeth Gray up there (from when she was there before). Anyways, I think Blakely & Zi are going to be best buds!

I guess that’s it for now!

Showered with love

On Tuesday my wonderful work people threw me a baby shower! I STOCKED UP!!! I mean look at all that great stuff! You can’t really tell that good but there along the first shelf of the changing table there are 12 onsies. Each one has an adorable graphic that shows months 1 through 12. I think this is the cutest idea—this way we can all watch itty bitty grow from month to month! Stephanie makes these iron on graphics & they are absolutely adorable—check out her etsy page! It’s www.etsy.com/shop/thegreengooseco Anyways, They welcomed me at work with TONS of yummy food & then in the afternoon I got to open all of my gifts! =) I felt such an overwhelming sense of joy, love, and support. I think we are actually ready for little Blakely to come!

I know I am physically past ready!!! She can’t possibly get any bigger right?!? I just keep saying 3 weeks, 3 more weeks! The Doc says, as of Monday, he doesn’t think she will be an early bird =( Oh well I guess we will get to meet her sooner or later, right?

Yesterday Mom brought over my FINISHED curtains!!! Clint and Dad hung up the curtain rod & we got the curtains up! They look P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Mom made sure to tell me that if she were making them for someone else they would have cost a million dollars! I’m guessing that means it wasn’t that fun of an event! But they really do add so much to her precious nursery! It is SO adorable! All we are waiting on now is the bed skirt. Then I PROMISE I will post some pictures of it! I will go ahead and say though; it is by far my favorite room in the house! I have been doing my daily devotions in the morning in my rocker & the room really does pass on such a peace—I love it! THANKS MOMMA! =)

Oh, oh, oh and I have the funniest story about my adorable niece Elizabeth Gray! She has recently been a bit stubborn about eating SO Alli took her to the Doc & they discussed lots of stuff…long story short she mentioned that Elizabeth Gray was showing interest in Allison’s water when she was drinking it out of a cup—so the Dr. told her to let her try & drink out of it. So, on Sunday Clint & I were over at Mom & Dads and they were watching her. Mom got a huge cup and put some water in it. Sure enough our little friend puts both arms out reaching for it. She drank out of the normal cup! I am amazed that such a little creature is able to understand how to do this & on top of that I am super amazed that she likes water! I cannot wait to experience this stuff with Blakely!

I guess that is all I will bore you with today! Till next time—BYE!
