A Flood...

That rain I mentioned earlier...Well, it turned into a flood.

Just one week ago we lost one of the most amazing men I have ever known. Clint's Daddy went to be with the Lord. I have never felt such gut wrenching pain as this loss has produced. To see someone you love more than anyone on this earth face something so horrific and devastating-words could never describe what has been running through my veins these past 168 hours...

I learned a couple of things this week. Gran wasn't just an amazing father and husband; no-he changed lives. If at the end of my life I am half of the selfless, giving, and Godly person he was...well I will have lived a rich rich life. I heard stories of over 30 people he specifically helped get jobs (including me). I heard stories of anonymously sending amazing gifts to many different people, stories of turning on lights and heaters for co-workers so there office would be nice and warm when they arrived and stories of giving, giving and more giving...

I'll make this short and sweet as it is too difficult to talk about. I have my own memories. SO many wonderful memories that I will forever hold close to my heart. In the 7 years I've been with Clint, Gran treated me as his daughter from day one. The world lost an amazing man and Heaven gained one HUGE asset!

 Loving on his horses!

2 Months Old

This big guy turned 2 months Saturday!
He is truly growing like a weed! We are currently eating every 3 hours, 4 oz each feeding except our night feeding which is 6 oz.
Consistently sleeping 6 hours at night! We just moved him into his crib last week. He has been sleeping by my side in his bassinet. Naps are becoming more common for this little guy. He usually wakes up around 5 and will nap shortly after this feeding for around an hour. In fact he is napping for around an hour after every feeding and awake for around 1.5 hours. When he is awake, he is really awake! Those eyes are huge starring at everything around him. He is extremely observant.
He is not a fan of tummy time anymore. He fusses and fusses until you pick him up.
He absolutely does not like to be hungry...I mean who does? But I'm telling you hunger to him is 'the end of the world'
He loves his paci! We had to swap 3 times until I found a match for him-the winner? Mam (it's a brand for those who don't know)
He loves baths for the most part.  This one sweats so much so his baths are much more often than Blakely's were at this age.
Parker's weight and length is equivalent to Blakely's at 6 MONTHS! 6 Months-OMG!
16 Pounds, 4.5 oz & 25" long!!! Weight is >95th % and Length is 95%
He has really started cooing and gurgling. We see a really happy smile often too! SO happy to announce that colic seems to officially be GONE! Praise God!
Blakely loves her little brother. Here she is about to give him a GIANT hug.
And here we are putting his paci back in his mouth. Always trying to help!

Dear Parker,
I love you so much! Being away from you this week has been so hard for me. You bring me so much joy, even when you constantly cry. You are just so sweet, lovable, and cuddly. God has blessed me beyond words with you and your beautiful sister. I will forever praise him for the two of you. What a precious and priceless gift.

The Big Day #2

Blakely woke up to her new Tricycle last Friday! She absolutely loves it. The wheels are a little to far away but she will grow in to it very shortly.
She also got a few Eric Carl books from us. Books are her favorite after all!

Got an craft apron with her name one it!
And lots and lots of bubbles!

We took her to Newks for lunch

Got her some lemonade that she LOVED! Pretty sure she will love sweets as much as her Daddy and me-unfortunately!
Awww! She loves giving out kisses these days.
 Yummy Pizza!
This is probably my favorite picture EVER! I love these two people SOOOO much I think my heart could explode!

And then off to Edgars for a strawberry cupcake-she was in Heaven!

Didn't want to share =) She is so silly!

And then off to the toy store for our first annual 'pick out any toy you want on your birthday' event! First she found a purse she wanted, this ended up with 7 identical purses on her arms...UNTIL she saw....

 ELMO, COOKIE & GROVER.....
 And the gift selection was.....
A grover microphone to go with her 'Lets Rock Elmo'.
After Dad paid for the microphone she saw a Dora potty book that she just 'had' to have. She grabbed it and ran full speed yelling 'Daaaady, Daaaady...Booooook'. So, yes she ended up with two toy selections for her b'day. Spoiled much?
