My Loves

We tried out Rice cereal today for the first time & what guess what? This big boy ate the entire bowl!!! When I tried cereal out on Blakely we were good to get in one bite...Not this boy-he loves to eat & eat he does! Please excuse the girly bowl...he embraces pink often thanks to his sister =)

Such a hard life this little girl has...

 Blakely is still LOVING school! I'm so happy to report that day 3 was AMAZING! She ran up to her teacher when we got to school and she gave her a h-u-g-e bear hug basically tackling her! She will not stop talking about her friends, the playground, and coloring at school. It makes me so happy that she is so happy and although I am loving my ability to get out more, I miss her SO SO SO much during the days! Uggggh I dread real school so much!

Last but not least, this guy makes my days extra sunny! I look so forward to him coming home! It is super weird him not working from home anymore...But what they say is so true, absence makes the heart grow fonder! I get giddy when it's time for him to come home! 

 These days I am feeling so much peace & joy!-thank you for all your prayers!

More from this weekend

Blakely's favorite thing to do these days is color. It entertains her 90% of every day! She loves to order me to do the coloring for her too! She will bring me her coloring book with a crayon in hand (ALWAYS pink) and demand me to color 'shoes' or 'dress' or 'bow'. 

 We went to the Summit Saturday for a little shopping! I was so happy that Mimi got to join us on our little outing. One more set of arms sure does help us out! We bought Parker the awesome sunglasses! He wore them the whole time without a single fuss!

 These two are the best of friends! I love them both so much!!!

Then at home we did some resting & relaxing with our new floors!!!

1st Day of Preschool!

I can't believe my little baby is going to 2 year old preschool! This is absolutely crazy to me-tear! I have been preparing her for quite some time now telling her about what was about to happen. This morning I heard time and time again, 'Mommy, I go see friends, right?' Here she is just minutes before leaving!

She took Raffe, Lupied, pillow, tangled and her Cinderella coloring book in the car with full intentions of them going to 'school' with her. Needless to say I learned the hard way that these items will all stay at home with the exception of Raffe-who I'm pretty certain has to go with her!

Here she is, my big girl crying to her teacher upon arrival! Wish her luck!!!

Fall clothes and other good stuff

I'm all finished with Blakely's fall wardrobe! I ended up ordering her an adorable smocked pumpkin dress, but beyond that I made everything! This is the first time in making her stuff that at the end I was left wanting to do more! Usually I am SO over sewing at this time. Luckily I've got a little man that needs some clothes! I'm gonna attempt a couple of jon-jons and maybe some pants to go with his onesies that I'll throw some appliques on. Not to much for him!

Blakely is FINALLY feeling like herself! She told me 'pumpkin so pretty momma' about a dozen times! She loves it when I show her something that I made. 

On to other things...we made it to the park for a swing. With it being her last day until she starts school, I wanted to get out and do something fun. We went over to play with Elle after the park. After we got home I heard 'I had a good time Momma, a good time with Elle'. She is getting so smart and good with her words! I also hear on a daily basis: 'I'm commin', 'I'm stuck', 'hey guys, no guys, raffe fall down guys', also a favorite is 'boys stop' (not sure where she heard this one since I don't ever call Parker or Daddy a boy?)

 Here is my sweet Caroline! She has grown over 2 pounds since I saw her last =( With all the crud we were carrying around, the last thing I wanted was to get this sweet one sick! I missed her though, oh how I missed her!

 I missed this crazy girl too-SO MUCH!

5 Months Old

My sweet Parker,

You are 5 months old today! I cannot even begin to tell you how thankful I am for your laid-back personality. I don't know what we would do if you were uptight and crazy like your mom. =) You are such a happy baby! Your smiles truly melt my heart.

 You found your hands this month. You are totally and completely mesmerized by them. You can now use them intentionally to grab things on your play mat. You also love to study my hands. I don't remember Blakely ever going through this phase, so it's pretty cool watching you soak it all in!

 You got your first tooth this month too! Front bottom left to be exact. You are pretty fascinated by the feeling too as you constantly have your tongue out rubbing it.

 I have admitted defeat on the war of trying to get you to like your paci. Thumb it is my boy!

 You weigh 21 pounds according to my scale (which is far from accurate compared to the docs)
& my measuring tape says 27 inches...(here again probably is pretty inaccurate!)
You are still in size 3 diapers and go through them faster than I can change you!
You are drinking 6 oz 5 times a day.
We are about to start oatmeal-tomorrow in fact! We'll see how that goes!
You are sitting up really well
You like tummy time so much more lately!
You love to sleep! You have turned in to quite the napper! I would say you take at least 3 good naps a day (sometime in the am after your first feeding around 5:30, sometime before lunch & sometime after lunch) You go to sleep around 8 and wake up at 5:30-6:00 every day! YAY!

 You love looking into my eyes and will 100% of the time smile back at me.

 You have such a sweet spirit. I am beyond words thankful for this! You bring your dad and me so much peace.

 I love you so much dear boy-if you only knew! You are my heart. You are my love. You are my everything!

By the way: YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL HANDSOME!

Our week update!

Parker started feeling better by Monday!

 Blakely was still feeling terrible-but you could never tell by that smile =) she is quite the trooper!

 We got some new toms-which she informed me were the wrong ones. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I heard: "no no, I told you pink..." or "pink is better Mommy". The saddest part is that I actually went out a day later and bought a pair of casual pink shoes. I keep telling myself that I am going to HAVE to quit spoiling her!

 Parker is getting so good about using his hands and grabbing things.

 Crazy to think he will be 5 months old TOMORROW!

 Where a little man is, there also will be a Zizi.

 Clint had his very first day on the new job on Monday!
