Feeling Better

Finally we are feeling better!!! Thank you God! These past 2 weeks have been really rough! You are now picking up things! I cannot believe it.  You see something and reach for it & actually pick it up.  For about 2 weeks, when I would drink water you have been sticking your tongue out and trying to drink from my cup.  Today you took my (empty) cup and were so happy-trying to drink from it! So adorable!

Watch Me Grow-5 Months old!

Yep, 5 months and still pretty crummy feeling.  If there was ever a picture to sum up this picture session-this is it! She was not a happy girl & I really shouldn't have made her go through it. =( But the bad momma that I am, had to capture her size on her 5 month birthday! I did get a few good ones though-

5 Month Old Stats:

Weight: 17 pounds

Length: 25 Inches

Diaper Size: 2

Which we are quickly growing out of & currently have another 2 boxes that I bought on discount a couple of months ago, thinking I was being all thrifty.  Well, it's not thrifty if she can't wear them!

Month Clothes Size: 9 months

We can wear some 6 monthers but NO 3-6 months! 

Naps/Sleeping Habits:  We are still in our "4 month sleep regression" & see no relief of it.  We are waking up in the night an estimate of 8 times-which feels wonderful the following morning.  We wake in the morning anywhere between 7-8, nap from 9-10, eat at 11, nap most of the time the whole time from around 11:30-3, eat at 3 & sometimes take a little cat nap around 6, then go to bed around 7:30.

Eats: 8 oz Similac, 4 times a day-yes we are back to similac after that terrible recall.  She just hates Enfamil! We stopped cereal due to this awful sleep regression.  I'll be trying again sometime this month.

We are loving:

3. Outside! LOVES the sun & breeze.  Nothing can cheer you up faster than going outside!

5. Your jumper! You just squeal and laugh in that thing!

Not Liking:

1. Being Sick!!! This month marks our first bad cold & what a horrible cold it has been! Poor baby gave it to mom.  Then we were in really bad shape!

2. Being cold

3. Being bored

4. Being Tired

5. Waking up at night and unable to get that paci!

Little Sickling...

So sad to say we have a bad cold! Blakely is pitiful! We went to the Dr. for our first ever "sick" visit.  Since we have been having major sleep regression issues, I was glad to go anyway.  (She has been waking up every 30 minutes starting around 2:00 AM for the past 14 days...YES FOURTEEN days!) I am a zombie to put it nicely! A lot has changed that could've affected her sleeping at night SO I got no real answer.  I expected to hear something like that but was glad I got to ask! Apparently her little brain is now functioning more like an adult brain would.  She is waking up just like us & trying to get comfortable.  Since she can't re-adjust quite yet & can't put that paci back in her mouth herself, she is giving me a call-Every 30 Minutes!!! Yep, I am going to say it again one last time-every 30 minutes! We think her little teeth are coming in & the cold are the major issues we need to get through in the upcoming days-then we can work on our sleep issues.

On Sunday we dressed everyone up in their costumes! We wanted to get the pictures into a couple of contests... Not that we could ever truly compete with the 10,000 other entries for Petsmart or Regis & Kelly-I just figured maybe we could win the 'lottery' after such a stressful year! =)  Plus, we got some really cute pictures out of it!

I am amazed at how much Blakely has grown even in this past week! She is so aware of everything around her.  She is starting to entertain herself and inspect everything around her.  She is turning into a real sweetheart.  Of course, if you asked me at 2:50 in the AM when she has been waking up lately, I MIIIIGHT have to tell you otherwise. =) We have had a bit of some sleep problems for about 13 days now....and by a bit I mean I haven't slept over 35 minutes straight for 13 nights.........these are the times I am extremely thankful that I am a stay-at-home mommy.  I have so much respect for those who then go put in an entire days work and manage to not make a million mistakes at their job.  Those women deserve a medal and a huge pay increase! 

Not much going on here other than Blakely growing up! We are thoroughly enjoying this wonderful fall weather by taking lots of walks and sitting out in the grass during the day! I can't believe we are almost at the 5 month mark! CRAZY!

On Saturday, we celebrated Elizabeth Gray turing ONE! Her actual birthday isn't until tomorrow. What a great party!!! Alli did such a good job!

We had such a blast yesterday painting those pumpkins we picked out on Sunday! The cool weather made it such a fun experience! Blakely loves to be outside.  I have found, if she is extremely fussy just walking outside will totally calm her down.  She loves to stare at everything around her.  I feel like I am watching her learn so much-every moment of every day!

We went to the Pediatrician yesterday for Blakely's 4 month check up & she said everything looks perfect with her.  She is totally healthy & growing at a perfect rate =).  We are trying to get down one serving of rice cereal a day & will be eating real veggies pretty soon! I cannot believe we are here-already! You are growing up way to fast!!!!

Today we all gathered up in the car and took a drive to pick out our pumpkins-yes Zizi came too! =)

I love love love this season change-it is truly my favorite time of the year.  There is just nothing that can compare to the beauty and comfort of fall.  I love it for so many reasons-mainly though because it starts all of the fun festivities! And here today, starts the first of many traditions-picking out our pumpkins!

When we came home, Blakely got to see her best friend, Sophie! They were cracking each other up. Sophie is exactly one month older than Blakely so it is pretty cool that we get to see into the future (so to speak!)

Waaaaaaar Eagle!

We were so lucky to get to go to the Homecoming game yesterday! We packed up the kids, took them to Mimi & Gran's and went our merry way to the good ole' plains of AU! This was (believe it or not) the first time both Clint and I have been together in Auburn since we got engaged! We loved walking around & just soaking in Auburn and its beauty.

Auburn brings such nostalgia to both of us! Now coming back-I was saddened that I didn't spend more time to actually soaking it all in when I was there.  I was too consumed with 'being stressed' to enjoy everything around me. If I only knew then what stress could feel like...

Anyways, we had a phenomenal time (to say the least).  Little B soon you will get to see the place daddy met mommy & fall in love with the beautiful place too!
