Watch Me Grow-7 Months Old

Although this blog is coming roughly a week late-the pictures were in fact taken on time. Her 7 month old birthday was on Christmas Day, so due to all the chaos -this one is just now being posted! =)

Blakely is sitting up so great as of this month.  She needs no support & only falls a couple times a day. She remains a champ when she falls though-she hardly ever cries.  Most of the time she just continues to play with whatever she had in her hands. 

*Your teeth are breaking through (2 that I see) and you have really been faced with some hard days & nights. Hopefully now that I see them-the most painful part is over!

Stats:

Weight: Around 20 Pounds

Diaper Size: 3

Mo. Clothes: 12 

Naps/Sleeping Habits: Typically taking one long nap (around 3 hours) in the middle of the day & two smaller ones first thing in the morning and sometime around 5.  Bedtime is at 7:30 and we typically wake around 7:00. You now will sleep no other way than on your tummy.

Eats: 4 8 oz bottles every 4 hours & two meals filled with solids & just recently puffs! You are attempting to master the sippy but have more luck just drinking straight from the cup with no straw/sippy attached.

5) All your new toys-especially things that light up and talk to you

6) Sleeping on your tummy & well sleeping in general!

7) Zizi-she is your favorite of anyone!

Dislikes:

1) Eating your bottle-this last month you only like about 2 oz per feeding

2) Being forced to eat more! I have never heard screams like those associated being fed when you don't want to eat

3) Missing a nap-Can we say cranky?!?

4) Being up when you are tired

5) When you want a toy and you can't quite reach it =)

6) When I over-read to you. I think I'm trying to read books that are longer than you are ready for-ooops!

Santa, Cookies, and Gifts Galore!

It's been the best Christmas we could've ever imagined! We did so much & had so much fun this year! I can't believe it is all really here-Blakely's first Christmas. We got a great picture with Santa but I don't have a scanner that works.  She did so great at her visit & got many compliments as to her wonderful behavior! We really are so lucky to have such a chill baby! (all thanks to her daddy) =)

Christmas Eve was filled with fun. We woke up extra early to try and soak in as much of Christmas as we could & actually managed to have time to do it all! We started going to grab some yummy pancakes from Cracker Barrel and then whilst Blakely napped we made some Christmas cookies and a gingerbread house, then went to visit Mema, following was a visit to Kaki & Wolfie's for dinner & finished off the wonderful night with Elf (my very favorite!) Then Santa came! See for yourself!

Christmas day was filled with so much magic! We finally had a white Christmas! It was so unbelievable. I cannot wait for Blakely to really understand what is going on! We loved getting to spend the day together and with our parents! Christmas is such a blessed time-sad to see it go, but excited for the new year & all the growth we have yet to experience.

2 days in counting!

I cannot believe that the day after tomorrow is Christmas Eve (the most wonderful day of the ENTIRE year!!!) We are starting so many fun traditions this year & so excited about them! =)  I must admit that I think I am expecting to do lots more on Christmas Eve then we possibly have time for!

On Sunday our preacher was telling a story of their Christmas memory book which holds pictures & written memories from their past 26 Christmas seasons.  I was so inspired after leaving to start one of our own. So yeah, that is on my to-do list for today-go to hobby lobby and find a scrapbook so I can start writing before I forget these moments! Now if only Blakely would wake up!!! She is sleeping so much lately (guess she's a growin')

Happy Birthday to Me! =)

What a blessed birthday this one was!!! Blakely being here really just makes my life so wonderful! I had such a perfect day-thanks Mom for shopping with me all day & Clint for making me feel so loved with everything & family for all the fun gifts and cake!!! I really did have such a great day! So yeah, I'm now officially past 25....feels weirder than I thought it would. I am starting to really feel old! (although it is probably Blakely that is making me feel old versus the actual age) So any-hoo here are some pictures from Clint giving me gifts & one of Blakely and her Aunt Lauren!

Did I mention that Blakely and Zizi got me an iPad?!? What a fun surprise! Clint did pretty good too by surprising me with Donkey Kong, a Women's Health subscription, Shrek, Eclipse & beautiful flowers.

Sunday Snapshots

Look at this ADORABLE dress Aunt Alli made you little Blakely! She is so talented! I love that this dress is of the nativity and not Santa/Reindeer/Christmas trees... (not that I don't also love all of those cutie themes) This one really just reminds me of the real reason of the season! I sure am glad she is patient enough and willing to make you such beautiful dresses! She loves you so much! =)

The ladies that work the nursery at Church sure do dote over you and compliment you! They sure did go crazy over you today! I don't blame them one bit!

Christmas Joy at Mimi & Gran's House

We had such a great time visiting Mimi and Gran today! I had Blakely in the most adorable little elf shirt that I made today-but-she messed it up SO these pictures of her in her froggy jammies will just have to suffice for today! She is really sitting up great these days! We still have to position her in just the right spot, but she does pretty good to not 'humpty-dumpty' over if she is in that position!
