15 Months

This big boy is 15 months already! No walking yet...
 But standing on his own!!!
He fully entertains himself most of the time. I am so thankful for that quality in him!
He loves his sister so so much! He wants to be wherever she is.
I have caught them many times being sweet like this.
and he ALWAYS gets this close to the TV if it is ever on...which it is more than I would like to admit! I move him and put barricades up to keep him away but he always finds a way around them.
He wakes up looking like this every single day.
 Still tired.
Happy happy kid-another thing I am SO very thankful for!
 Parker is 30 pounds
Loves his giraffe Lovie and monkey stuffed animal
drinking around 30 oz whole milk
crawling, pulling up, cruising around, walking with walkers all over, standing up by himself for minutes, LOVES being held
2 molars grew in this month
eating every single thing we are these days! GREAT eater compared to Blakely (not compared to other children unfortunately)
Still no words.....any day now buddy!

Bedtime...

Bedtime around the Lyle household is a nightmare for Daddy and me! Ugh, where do I begin.
Blakely does not like bathing
VERY particular in her night night clothes
does NOT like her hair dried
100 book readings would not be enough
the screaming we have to endure is inevitable EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT.

Finally, we walk into this around 10:00...
Naptime is this exact same ordeal!
Lord, give me patience.

A Fairy House

First, I must begin by bragging that I have the most amazing Mother-in-law in the entire world!
Mimi and Blakely are best buddies and love each other dearly.

Mimi came by on Thursday to take Blakely on a 'staycation' at her house for the weekend. I haven't heard the end of all the fun they had. One really cool thing they got to do together is build Blakely's own fairy house! I am amazed at how beautiful it turned out & cannot wait to see it for myself!

I am so very thankful for their close bond! We love you Mimi!

First bit of Summer

I am in shock that it is the 14th already and I've posted nothing the entire month. Luckily, I've been pretty good about taking pictures, just terrible about updating the blog...Instead of posting a bunch of different posts, I'll just dump it all in this one.

ER visit

This was our first ever hospital visit & for that I am thankful, however I've never been so scared before in all my life.
Parker had a weird cough last Thursday night, one that I've never heard before. I get confused with all his asthma so I just typically give him his inhaler whenever I am in question. I videoed his breathing and sent it to aunt/nurse Lauren for some advice. She told me it might be Strider and if so I needed to get him to the hospital, but that it might not be that big a deal...I made the decision to put him to bed and pray for the cough to just go away...

It didn't.

We heard a shrill around 10 pm and I ran into Parkey's room to him not being able to catch his breath, total discoloration of his lips, and eyes rolled in the back of his little head.

I don't remember much after that, just that we made it to the hospital with 10 or so people waiting the the waiting room-with our description of what had happened the nurse listened to Parker breathe and immediately started yelling out stuff along with that word Lauren had used 'Strider'...

The doc met us in the hall and gave P a steroid along with a breathing treatment and before we knew it he was looking like himself.
Poor guy is still feeling yucky and now sister and I are too!

Organic

We are on the healthy & Organic bandwagon once again. I am determined to get our little Blakely feeling better. I swapped us completely over last Sunday the 20th. I can tell a ridiculous difference in my energy level. After all I'm eating stuff like this... (tasted like dirt upon first bite)
 Blueberry Flax Oatmeal with Honey
instead of poptarts...

Clint is along for the ride & been very supportive of me and the jump in grocery bills...
My next move is to try and get us gluten free. I've already skimmed most of our gluten out by eliminating boxed foods. I've been finding great recipes for snacks online!

Hopefully I can stay dedicated and make it our way of life!
