her wish is your command...

We have all at one point in time worn one of these two pairs of funny glasses. While Mimi and I were at Target one day we saw them and thought B would love them & well, we were right! I'm sure two years ago Uncle Brian didn't know he would be wearing pink glasses to keep this little one entertained. The things we do...

We went to the dentist today for Blakely's first ever appointment. It went really well & I can't wait to show some of the pictures I took (you know I took my camera!) Pretty sure they were all annoyed with me snapping away but ooooh well.

Today as I was painting my nails, Blakely ran up to me with her hands straight out asking me to 'do that'. I was nervous since just last month we attempted this only to end up with polish everywhere. She did so good this time. I told her she had to let them dry so she made sure to keep her hands straight out in front of her and blew them dry. She also wanted her toes done so we did those too. 

 She was HILARIOUS walking out to the room-if I had to describe it I would have to say she was waddling like a duck with her arms straight out. 

 I'm so blessed to have this funny girl in my life. She truly is my very best friend and gives me much needed comic relief.

Fun in the sun with mimi & 'b-ian'

Saturday we loaded up and headed to Mimi's house. It was perfect weather! Blakely had so much fun in the pools. She is such a water bug. I can't wait to see how she will react to the lake and beach this year.

 Zizi was feeling great; you would never imagine she had surgery just last week.

 Mimi got her some Minnie goggles & they were a huge hit!

 He was happy as a clam chillin' in the screened in porch with the fan keeping him cool.

 Blakely is starting to take more risks these days. She slid down her slide a bunch and would hit the pool hard only to get out and go at it again. We could tell it scared her but didn't stop her from doing it again and again. Please excuse our naked little one-I'm hoping this is just a stage she is going through but she HATES wearing clothes especially her swimsuit. At least these pics have her in her diaper! =)

Sympathy Points

Friday was not a good day. Thursday Clint and I noticed that Zizi's once pea sized cyst had transformed into a tennis ball sized infection. I called the vet and scheduled an appointment for first thing Friday morning. By Friday morning there was a crater where the cyst had once been and the infection was taking over that entire leg. I have never been so scared.

The decision was immediate from our sweet doctor-she needed immediate surgery to remove this sucker. I cried and cried and cried. They took her back to prepare and the waiting began. I got a phone call around 3 telling me she was out of surgery and was already waking up but we couldn't pick her up until 5.

I hugged her extra hard that night as we all went to sleep. I love my baby so much and am so thankful to have that experience behind us. I am hanging tight to my faith that God has an entire season of blessings coming our way VERY soon!

Two for one...at the Dr.

Blakely was due for her 2 year checkup and so I decided to bundle Parker's 2 month checkup with her 2 year. Have I mentioned how much I love our doctor?!? She is so wonderful and Blakely absolutely loves her.  

 I am constantly amazed at this little girl's maturity. She was so pleasant and understanding towards having to get checked out.

 Take a look at this adorable Lilly Pulitzer dress! My sweet aunt had this sent from Mobile for her birthday. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

 Although it's tough, I love taking care of these two (most of the time...) =)

So...I finally got to the end of our size ones & had two HUGE boxes of size twos in the closet that I stocked up on before Parker was born. Let me go back and tell you he technically outgrew his ones about a month ago but I'm too cheap to let go of some perfectly good diapers. It was getting really bad though and I'm sure super uncomfortable! So anyways, I put a size two on and it was too small! YEP, my TWO month old skipped the size 2 diapers and is now wearing 3s...

Pretty sure we have a giant on our hands! 17 pounds guys, 17 POUNDS!
