Sunday at the Summit

We had such a fun day today! We all got packed up and strolled over to the Summit for an afternoon of shopping. We really didn't end up with much, just some socks for our little dude. We grabbed some yogurt from the yogurt bar & ended the day treating ourselves to Macaroni Grill!

We have had the most beautiful weather all week & we have definitely been taking full advantage of it! Here are a collection of pictures of my beautiful niece playing at the park & of course some of my Blakely too! =)

Valentine's Day Post #2

I love Valentine's Day-although I must admit this is a recent thing.  Having a family really made me appreciate the holiday. It makes me remember all of my precious blessings. My family, my home, my life. We had such a fun day today. Since it was absolutely beautiful we spent lots of time outside!!! I finally got to take zizi on that long walk I have been promising her for months now! She didn't know what to do with herself! I also got to try out Blakely's wagon that her Mimi gave her for Christmas! Then we decorated a fun Valentine's cake & some cupcakes. I finally braved it up to play with fondant today! Yay me! I have been really wanting to learn about cake decorating for about 2 years now. In fact 2 Christmases ago Clint and his mom gave me lots of fun Fondant supplies because I basically begged for them all--then I got REALLY intimidated! So I did what I always do and just pushed it aside & said "I'll learn that later". Well Blakely's #1 birthday will be here in a few short months (CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?) & I want to do her cake with fondant. SO here is my very first attempt!

Picnic in the Park

Clint & I made the most of our beautiful sunny day today. We gathered up Blakely's lunch and grabbed ourselves some yummy Chick-fil-a. Blakely did so great today-yay!!! You never know what you're getting in to when you skip the mid-day nap! Here are a few shots we got:

We have a CRAWLER!

Just wanted to document blakely's first official night of crawling. She has been scooting for a couple of weeks now but tonight she actually crawled about 6 feet! Clint & I were so excited we called our parents right away! It's so funny how much life changes when you have a child.  I actually got a video of it too!!! YAY Blakely! We are so proud of you!

Cold Cold Go AWAY!

These past two Sundays have sure teased us pretty good! We have had such beautiful, sunny weather only to immediately follow with cold, wet yuck! Those few perfect days have really left me with some major spring fever! I wish I had some good pictures to show of the family having fun, but I don't. Clint & I had such a great weekend full of fun memories. We got to go to the Cheesecake Factory with some friends on Saturday night while my mom watched sweet Blakely (thanks mom!!!) and then got to go to the movies! Then because Mom watched her overnight I got to sleep until 9:30! I cannot tell you how good that felt. We then got to go shopping all day, got yogurt from my favorite place (yogurt mountain) & go to the gym together!  We also went to the park with Blakely! All in all it was a pretty amazing change of scenery compared to what I have been used to seeing lately due to the yuck weather! But no pictures...I failed to take my camera out of the house. =(  I have vowed to myself that I'm not going to let that happen anymore! Life is just too short & I don't want to miss anymore fun without first capturing it!

Zizi's birthday is coming up fast! It will be here in 2 short weeks. I was going to throw her a huge puppy birthday but with the cold so drastic, I'm thinking maybe I'll just settle for a few close friends coming over to celebrate the big 3! Can you tell that our having a baby has done nothing to the obsession we have with our sweet first born?  Blakely is in love with her already.

Hopefully I'll be back very soon with some good shots of Blakely so we don't wait until her 9 month post. Hope everyone is having a very happy Monday!
