Three Kinds of Crazy: June 2012

3 months old

Happy birthday little buddy-you are officially 3 months old!

You are so alert and aware of your surroundings. You spend a lot of time just soaking in your environment. You love to watch your sister and don't like the things she'll do to you. (not sure there is anyone who would like to be forced to kiss 'raffe' ALL the time or feel suffocated by hugs at least once an hour) She sure does love her parkey though, no doubt about that.

This month we are having to teach sister not to be jealous of her passed down items. She is not loving you using 'her' stroller, exersaucer, or teething toys. If I had a dollar for every time I've said 'Blakely you have to share with Parker...'

I weighed you on our scale and it seems that you haven't really gained any weight -which is good since you are already the size of a 6 month old! So just to document you are just over 16 pounds and 26" long.

As mentioned in a previous post, you bypassed the size 2 diapers and are wearing 3's. You were in your size 1s way past when you should have been in them and were much happier when we started putting the 3s on you!

Your eating has gotten out of control. I mean it when I say this baby would easily eat 8 oz a day every feeding. We are currently feeding you 6 oz bottles every 4 hours, totaling 5 times a day. Typical schedule is 5am, 9am, 1pm, 5pm, & 9pm.

You are now sleeping at night from 9pm-5am. Naps totally vary from day to day. Yesterday you slept a total of 30 minutes all day long. Today you have taken 2 naps lasting around 30 min each. I'm thinking you are convinced that napping is for the birds!

You have been really showing your happy side lately (with the exception of these past few days). We see so many smiles and laughter. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that laugh and see that smile. I think you are teething & hurting pretty bad these days. You ABHORE tummy time. It is a real battle to make you do your time.

You do so great in the exersaucer and the bumbo though. Approximately one week ago I attempted to put you in this thing and your feet were pretty far from touching the bottom.

Look at those legs now! So impressive-we've got a godzilla baby on our hands!

Dear Parker, Mommy and Daddy love you so very much. You don't mind Zizi loving on you and seem to really like your sister loving on you too. You are already such a sweet little boy and we are so blessed to have you. I get excited each morning when I hear you.

Our first dentist appointment

I truly cannot believe we are at this milestone in Blakely's life. I tried to talk about going to the dentist all week to try and get her excited & I think it worked. This little girl was glowing the entire time. I'm lucky that she already loved brushing her teeth.

She couldn't get enough of these cars that were in the play area.

Raffe came along for his teeth cleaning today too.

After her successful teeth cleaning she got to put her handprint on the wall!

She totally loved this process!

And then the dentist counted and checked all her teeth. We were informed that she still has 4 molars that aren't in yet (fun times ahead!) She was one happy girl leaving with lots of stickers, a new toothbrush, and a bouncy ball. Hopefully all these appointments will go as this one did!

One last this I want to document: The doc told B to give him five when she was all finished and she stuck that fist out requesting him to bump it. Pretty funny!

her wish is your command...

We have all at one point in time worn one of these two pairs of funny glasses. While Mimi and I were at Target one day we saw them and thought B would love them & well, we were right! I'm sure two years ago Uncle Brian didn't know he would be wearing pink glasses to keep this little one entertained. The things we do...

We went to the dentist today for Blakely's first ever appointment. It went really well & I can't wait to show some of the pictures I took (you know I took my camera!) Pretty sure they were all annoyed with me snapping away but ooooh well.

such a girly-girl

Today as I was painting my nails, Blakely ran up to me with her hands straight out asking me to 'do that'. I was nervous since just last month we attempted this only to end up with polish everywhere. She did so good this time. I told her she had to let them dry so she made sure to keep her hands straight out in front of her and blew them dry. She also wanted her toes done so we did those too.

She was HILARIOUS walking out to the room-if I had to describe it I would have to say she was waddling like a duck with her arms straight out.

I'm so blessed to have this funny girl in my life. She truly is my very best friend and gives me much needed comic relief.

Fun in the sun with mimi & 'b-ian'

Saturday we loaded up and headed to Mimi's house. It was perfect weather! Blakely had so much fun in the pools. She is such a water bug. I can't wait to see how she will react to the lake and beach this year.

Zizi was feeling great; you would never imagine she had surgery just last week.

Mimi got her some Minnie goggles & they were a huge hit!

she loved the net too!

He was happy as a clam chillin' in the screened in porch with the fan keeping him cool.

Blakely is starting to take more risks these days. She slid down her slide a bunch and would hit the pool hard only to get out and go at it again. We could tell it scared her but didn't stop her from doing it again and again. Please excuse our naked little one-I'm hoping this is just a stage she is going through but she HATES wearing clothes especially her swimsuit. At least these pics have her in her diaper! =)
