My sweet Alli Kate, these past 8 weeks have flown by. It feels like yesterday I was sitting in the hospital in awe of you, yet also feels as though you have always existed in this family. I truly cannot imagine our family without your presence.

You bring love and joy to everyone who sees you. You are such an incredibly easy baby! You are always just along for the ride!
You are still sleeping quite a bit! I would say we aren't really on any type of schedule yet but you are awake after you eat and then will fall asleep about 30 minutes later.
You eat every 3 hours, pretty much on the dot. At night I feed you around 10:30 or 11:00 (whenever I am going to bed) and then you sometimes will go 4 hours.
You have grown to LOVE your paci this month. You don't really need it at night which is so nice, but during the day you will cry for it most of the day when you are sleepy but not yet asleep.
You are wearing 3 month clothes and have been all month. Just recently I've tried on a couple of 6 month clothes and they actually fit...I forgot how inconsistent that first year of life is in sizing of clothes. I'm really hoping that all your adorable 3 month bubbles will fit!
I've recently pulled out the sewing machine in hopes to get to work on some stuff for you! I loved making Blakely and Parker clothes and really want to make sure I get some special things made for you too!
You are lifting your head up like crazy these days! Really you've done incredible since about week one with that! You don't seem to mind tummy time at all unlike both your brother and sister at your age.
You love to be talked to! You will just stare and stare at me for as long as I'm talking until I bore you to sleep!
You seem to love your sister, and oh how your sister loves you! (maybe a little too much!) She doesn't quite understand that she can't be so rough with you. I've caught Blakely squeezing you, rocking you really hard and hitting patting you on the head more times than I can count.
Still, the sweetness in this girls heart towards you is incredible. It makes my heart swell with joy
I have no doubt the two of you will be just as close as Aunt Alli and me. There is nothing like a sister.
There are so many sweet moments! Blakely loves to read to you. She picks out your book of colors and will show you pictures telling you what the colors are. You smile so big to her when she is talking to you. Every day when we pick Blakely up from school, she tells you that she loves you and that she is so happy you are there to pick her up. She tells you over a hundred times a day that you are so so cute. She also tells you that you are her best friend.
Sweet kisses like this are an every hour occurrence. Blakely asks to hold you all.the.time.

You don't much like when I am out of sight of you. We are tied to the hip, you and I.
Can I tell you a secret? I kind of love it. I love that you completely calm down when you hear my voice and see my face.
I love and cherish the quiet moments of feeding you. I've learned to soak in each second in the midst of constant busyness, feeding you is therapeutic to me. I've got my prayer journal stationed in your room and we pray through each feeding.
I hear on a very regular basis how beautiful you are. I obviously am partial, but I concur .
We went back to church this month too. You were 6 weeks! I have kept you in the sanctuary and Sunday School with us so far. I guess after you get your shots on Thursday, I'll drop you off in the nursery next Sunday. Maybe not...
I've still got you sleeping in our room. I bought one of those angle care monitors that detects motion in your crib--now if I could just make that move. I just can't, not yet. It just can't be time yet...
Your Daddy loves you so much. He tells people often that you are our easiest. Let me tell you, he is right. This phase of infancy is something sweet this go round. I guess it is all about perspective.
You save most of your smiles for your Daddy. I've got to admit, it makes me kind of jealous.
I've been caught on more than one occassion sniffing your sweet head. I'm just trying to capture it in my memory. I just don't want you to get any bigger. Stay this size forever. Pretty please.

I see this face often. Your sister is sitting right there and you are looking up at her like you are wondering what she is going to do next! (rightfully so, I might add)
Your cousins love you too. I mean, really really love you. I caught Caroline climb in your crib yesterday to cuddle you and give you your 'lubbie'. Very sweet!
I have absolutely loved every second of every minute of every day getting to know you. You are just the sweetest, most kissable 'little doodle'.
