Car Travels

We traveled to our beach house this weekend for a good ole' family reunion over the 4th--the first one I've been to since before I had Blakely. This was our first trip over 2 hours with both kiddos...

I was going to post about the beach in one post, but decided that the travels themselves deserved one all there own! So Parker started out all calm and mesmerized by the tv. 

 and overjoyed with his new crab that Mimi gave him in honor of his first trip to the beach! So I was thinking, All right! This is awesome! This is going to be so easy.

 Blakely was an angel the entire ride. This little boy however-crazy bad! Screamed for 3 hours straight...........

 until FINALLY!

 The way home was paradise though! Parker slept 3 hours and played. YAY

 She's delirious at this point & oh so ready to be home!

Sprinkler Time

Had so much fun today seeing our sweet cousins!

Utopia

Mom puts her heart and soul to create this beautiful sight...

 Her entire yard is covered in gorgeous flowers!

 I could sit, stare, and drink my coffee and just float away to somewhere else.

15 Months

This big boy is 15 months already! No walking yet...

 But standing on his own!!!

 He fully entertains himself most of the time. I am so thankful for that quality in him!

 He loves his sister so so much! He wants to be wherever she is.

 I have caught them many times being sweet like this.

 and he ALWAYS gets this close to the TV if it is ever on...which it is more than I would like to admit! I move him and put barricades up to keep him away but he always finds a way around them.

 He wakes up looking like this every single day.

 Still tired.

 Happy happy kid-another thing I am SO very thankful for!

 Parker is 30 pounds
Loves his giraffe Lovie and monkey stuffed animal
drinking around 30 oz whole milk
crawling, pulling up, cruising around, walking with walkers all over, standing up by himself for minutes, LOVES being held
2 molars grew in this month
eating every single thing we are these days! GREAT eater compared to Blakely (not compared to other children unfortunately)
Still no words.....any day now buddy!

Bedtime...

Bedtime around the Lyle household is a nightmare for Daddy and me! Ugh, where do I begin. 

Blakely does not like bathing

VERY particular in her night night clothes

does NOT like her hair dried

100 book readings would not be enough

the screaming we have to endure is inevitable EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT.

 Finally, we walk into this around 10:00...

Naptime is this exact same ordeal!
Lord, give me patience.

A Fairy House

First, I must begin by bragging that I have the most amazing Mother-in-law in the entire world! 

Mimi and Blakely are best buddies and love each other dearly. 

Mimi came by on Thursday to take Blakely on a 'staycation' at her house for the weekend. I haven't heard the end of all the fun they had. One really cool thing they got to do together is build Blakely's own fairy house! I am amazed at how beautiful it turned out & cannot wait to see it for myself! 

I am so very thankful for their close bond! We love you Mimi!
