Happy 4th Birthday Sweet Girl!

I love my Zizi so much & had such a great day with her today! I made a yummy doggy birthday cake for her & spoiled her with lots of love.

Amoxicillian reaction...

My poor baby girl was still sick on the 9th (this was roughly day 9 of a constant bad cough, runny nose & eyes, & light fever at times) so I decided to go ahead and take her in just to make sure we weren't looking at something bad. Sure enough the doc told me that she had an ear infection in her right ear (our first one).

Everything was okay with how she was acting in the wait period for the antibiotics to kick in and help her get over this-fussy at times but nothing crazy. Then on day 9 of the Amoxicillian she woke up looking like this:

It actually looked way worse than this in person, but you get the picture...Of course this was a Saturday so no doctor calls could be made. Luckily my mom delt with this with both my sister and me in reactions to Ceclor. She told me what it would look like & after seeing Blakely she decided that was precisely what was going on-an allergic reaction.

We are doing perfect now-no more cold symptoms, no more rash! SO glad that chapter is over!

Bye Bye Paci

I just wanted to document that 3 nights ago Blakely handed me her paci when we put her to bed and said 'bye bye paci'. I couldn't believe it! I took that opportunity and ran with it. She hasn't asked for paci again in 3 days! So easy...I feel like it was too easy... I'm hoping that is it and we won't have any regression to deal with!

We are still sick with 20 month molars/a bad cold. I'm talking running eyes, nose & mouth followed with a bad bad cough. I feel so sorry for her! The cold has now been since last Wednesday. I don't remember her ever staying sick this long & she has been dealing with the teething since two Wednesdays ago! This cold front coming in probably isn't the best thing for her! I'm just praying for some relief to come her way soon. It breaks my heart to see her like this!
