Mommy's little helper

Blakely loves to watch Mommy do laundry. Most of the time she just undoes whatever was already done but today she was actually helping by taking the clean clothes out and handing them to me! What a sweetheart!

13 Months Old

I cannot believe one month has already slipped by on us. Blakely is still not walking aside from a couple of steps every now and then. She liked the lake this time!!! I went to target and bought some of those bath foam letters and have been getting in the bath with her in attempts to make her love her bath time again-success! She loves bath time! YAY!!! So I was hoping that getting in the lake would now be fun too & it was! She still doesn't like getting in her float but she loved us holding her!

Life has been really getting fun lately. Blakely is pretty much always happy these days. She loves peek-a-boo & has learned to now hide from us. She laughs and laughs when you get right next to her hear and say anything. She loves swinging in the swing Kaki bought for the lake.

Our biggest achievement this month is our transition to the sippy-NO MORE BOTTLE!!! So this month we dropped formula & the bottle & she drinks all her milk ice cold out of the fridge (never thought we would get here!) She will not drink out of just any sippy though-only the nuby ones with a straw... It is so funny to me how each and every child is so different! We are also phasing out our paci. Blakely only gets it at night and in the morning we drop it in the crib and say 'bye bye'. Really funny side story-at the lake when she didn't want to sleep at 2 in the AM I am sitting on the floor by the pack-n-play rubbing her back and trying to make her take the paci so she will go back to sleep & then I see her grab the paci and drop it over the side saying 'bye bye'... hmmm she's a lot smarter little bugger than I have been giving her credit for!

So she knows the words bye-bye (buh buh), hi (hiiiiiiiii), hey (heeey), momma, daddy, thank you (tank-ummm) Tank-ummm is a favorite! She says this when she wants anything. I have always said thank you as I was taking something she didn't need to have & well I guess she now thinks that saying thank you means you can take anything-whoops!

Drinking - Around 24 oz whole milk & water throughout the day
Sleeping- Still sleeping till 7 most days, naps for around an hour in the AM, an hour after lunch, and an hour around 4, goes to sleep around 7.
Size Clothes- 18 months

Speechless

Every weekend the sunset seems to outdo the prior one seen! I cannot even pretend to describe what this sunset looked like in person. These pictures do a good job at showing its magnificence though! I have lots more pics to come of our time at the lake this weekend & an update post on Blakely turning 13 months! Hoping to get those up today!

Flyin' Rezy

This weekend I got some really good shots of Zizi's Momma. She is exactly like Zizi & I love her so much! I love getting to spend so much quality time with everyone! I'm so thankful for the lake house and all the joy it brings! Thank you Grandmommy & Papa for such an amazing gift!

Another weekend at the lake!

This past Friday, we threw some essentials in the car and headed off for another weekend at the lake. The boys got TONS done this weekend (YAY!) The pier is almost finished & the deck is about 3/4 the way there! I think one more weekend & it'll be good to go! I am so excited! The pier is about double what it used to be...lots of fun to be had and tons of memories are ahead!

We experienced yet another amazing sunset. I tell ya, I don't know how people choose to not believe in God when He shows such beauty!

Blakley is starting to really entertain herself! She loves all of her toys. I just decided to devote a post to our 'everyday' play time. It really doesn't take much to entertain her-just give her some paper, a fax machine, and something to beat on and she's good for awhile! I love each day I have with her. She is such a precious gift.
