5 Months Old!

Alli Kate, you are five months old!

 You've got this tummy stuff down! You are pretty content with it and love when sissy 'helps'.

 Still lovin' that paci!!!

 You and I have many talks in the midst of a day. You are such a great listener!

Zizi loves you and is so careful around you!

You are in size 2 diapers and should probably be in 3s any day now! Unfortunately, I stocked up on 2s...Soooo, yeah. lesson learned!

You still love your carseat. It is the fastest way to get you to take a nap. I just throw a blanket over your head and you will cozy into that blanket, paci in mouth and fall asleep!

You are really taking things in this month. You love to just stare at people and objects!

This month you rolled over!!! Not sure how we accomplished this milestone, especially since we rarely put you on the ground to practice (due to two pretty violent people who love you).

  You're smile is the sunshine in my day.

16 or so pounds of squishy delight!

You've really changed this month! 

You are really close to sitting up.

You need a lot more one on one entertainment than previous months. 

You sing to me when I'm talking or singing to you.

You come close to mimicking my 'hey' to you.

You are drooling like crazy!!! I am just waiting on a tooth to break through. (although a tidge nervous about what we will do in nursing!)

 I am so blessed to say that we are still exclusively nursing and happy!

 Last month I feel like we came up with somewhat of a schedule but this month has been a 'wing it month' of sorts! You have been fussier this month; I'm not sure if that is due to teething, overtired, or tummy trouble.

There's that hand you love so much!

Alli Kate, you continue to grow my heart. I just cannot tell you the overwhelming amount you have exponentially grown me in love. You just have this way with your calm, loving, happy spirit. It is so so needed in our family. I would have never imagined that a newborn/infant could bring such peace! God is really so good.

Gold Stars

We are going through a lot with our first born. 

Days are long. 

Victories are celebrated!

After a month of using our chart, Blakely got her first 'gold star'. YAY! and then immediately got another one! Believe it or not, this is really a big deal in our world right now! Out of all of the fun stuff at the dollar tree, you picked some sugar wafers and cotton candy! That is so you! We love you Blakely!

Ono Beach Trip

Last week we packed up and headed to Orange Beach for a fun little getaway. 

 After lots of thinking, Wolfie decided what our annual sand creature would be.
