We are off to a good start this year! I am learning to be more positive. Each day I wake up and acknowledge the simple blessings-I literally write down all things that I am thankful for on that morning. It forces me to realize how blessed I am without dwelling on the things that are hard or make my heart hurt.
It's the simple things that bring the most joy. Like here, Pascal (below) as Blakely named him. He was outside our front door last week. Never would have seen one of these at the townhouse. We had fun stalking him all day!
And our back deck, oh how I LOVE this place! Mimi has a screened in porch & I've been telling Clint for years "If I only had one of these, I would be in heaven" Well not only do I have one now, I also have a beautiful view!
Parker, he brings me so much joy & peace. Even when he is crying at 4:30 in the am...(well that's a lie, he doesn't bring me peace then...) He is so innocent. He hasn't started all the whininess that comes along with a 2+ year old, he doesn't defy you, he just loves. Loves life, loves eating, loves playing, loves talking, loves me...He just loves!
These two bring me pure joy also! Yes, they are needy (BOTH of them) and yes, they are crazy hard to take care of sometimes, but they are my heart in every way possible.
I did not pose this picture. I walked in to this...
It brought tears to my eyes-literally! I love them so much!
This also brought tears to my eyes-my little boy is drinking out of a sippy all by himself!
Here we have Raffe "as a turtle". I thought this was very cleaver and imaginative & was really proud of her! Plus I thought it was too cute not to document.
The best shot I could get of Blakely wearing her 'favorite' dress. Nikky gave her this for Christmas & ever since she has wanted to wear it every day!
This has become an every day activity around the new house...a "fork".
